Bitchin Girls

The fabulous Bitching and Junkfood girls, Kath and Marion, asked me a few weeks ago to model in a fun little shoot for them. So I took a day off work and got all dolled up. Myself and model, Lauren Smith, took a trip around Bethnal Green in some creepers and got photographed making ourselves look a little kerrraaazzy!!!!

I don’t know about you but I think I’m definitely channelling a bit of Ab Fab, Bubble in particular…..

Merry Christmaaaassss!!!!

It’s actually been ages since I’ve blogged. I have a good excuse though, I’ve been working nearly 80 hours a week….but now I’m a pro at pulling pints, a banging fashion assistant at Garage magazine, have styled and created the Underground lookbook and modelled for Bitching and Junkfood, so it’s been worth it!!

Hope you’re having a fabulous Christmas. The highlight of my day is definitely going to be Ab Fab at 10pm…..oh and obviously copious amounts of alcohol!!!

This is really random, but my friend Michael Baker actually told me a few weeks ago that I should do a hair blog, of my ever-changing styles. I can barely keep up a normal blog though, so that’s pretty unlikely. But instead I’m going to put a few of my Christmas hair styles up…..

Ray-Ban Raw Sounds

After a long weekend (almost a week) of working and getting pretty messy I decided last week was the start of my detox. You know where this is going…yes it lasted one day. I blame Ray-Ban for the start of my downward spiral. On Tuesday night they held a launch party for their exciting new Raw Sounds project at East London’s Village Underground. With live music from Tom Vek and DJ sets from The Mystery Jets, I obviously had to pop down. I arrived at around 7.30pm, straight after the Gucci store launch, and sipped on some delicious fruity cocktails, whilst the boys drunk beer.

The Raw Sounds project has been created by the Smiths’ guitarist Johnny Marr, who has come up with five areas to inspire musicians, from poetry and videos to more randomly, a map of New York. Johnny’s challenged the artists to create new tracks inspired by these diverse areas, one of these includes a photograph he took of a man and woman filming each other whilst wearing Ray-Ban wayfarers. The artists involved with the project include, Best Coast, Mona, Au Revoir Simone and Tom Vek.

The venue was packed with press, musicians and celebs. My fave celeb spot was Fazer, who looked babein in his Ray-Bans.

DREAMING ABOUT VERSACE……

So last week we have been plotting at POP magazine about how we can get our hands on some Versace X H&M, but it seems this season there is no press preview or ordering…..eurgh!!! So instead I am going to be camping with whoever wants to join me and documenting it for my blog. I’ll be interviewing people and probably drinking some form of alcohol to warm me up.

I’m still deciding exactly what items I want to buy, but I think it’s between these:

MY INNER SPICE

Saw this outfit earlier on the new issue of online magazine As You Are. Need it in my life so I can channel my inner spice.

VERSACE FOR H&M

Not long now until the highly anticipated Versace for H&M collection hits the shops. Fingers crossed I have some money by then. I have to have this dress…….

From what I’ve seen so far I can safely say it is soooo good! I love, how as Donatella has said, the collection represents what Versace was when her late brother Gianni ran the house and what Versace is now.

I’ve also heard they’re doing homewear….. a busy gold chain print bed cover, think that might even beat my tie-dye bed sheets!!

TEDDY BOY

More inspiration for my next shoot….Teddy Boys and Rockabilly 50’s. Think McQueen and Comme des Garcons menswear S/S 12 who both channelled true Brit 50’s and Edwardian style. Drainpipes, drape jackets and brothel creepers will be filling my house next week.

You Rainbow Riot Grrrl and Kinderwhore

The inspiration behind my next shoot and a new trend…WGSN have just covered this on their website.

Courtney Love and Nancy Spungen are Queen’s of the Riot Grrrl and Kinderwhore look. It involves dressing like a child with baby-doll and pinafore dresses, chunky Mary-Jane shoes and child-like accessories like plastic charm bracelets and hair bracelets. The whore comes into it with the contrasting hair and make-up…bright red lips, rosy cheeks, dark eyes…..more is more.
